Pieces of Advice

So I got my appointment and will be heading to West Point with the class of 2014. I was wondering if any cadets or alumni have piece of advice to share with new cadets coming in. Things they wish they had known before hand.

Stay in shape, and learn a way to entertain upperclassmen (trivia, movie quotes, etc.). Remember you're supposed to mess up a lot at first, its part of the training. Remember there will be people there from all over the nation so some might seem "odd" but open up your perspective and get along with everyone.

And think of an answer to "Why did you come here?" because you're likely to be asked that on the spot.

And remember to NEVER lie. People got honor boards during Beast.
