Pilot Slot out of USAFA

Question: Does this apply to AFROTC, NROTC, AROTC or all of the above..?
Although the email from the powers that be did not state specifically-- It merely said, "Pilot slots just got competitive again" and was directed to USAFA cadets. I have to agree with the assessments above from both BBL2025 and franknd, that this will trickle down to AFROTC, as the backlog they were referring to was for all pilot candidates going through Air Force pilot training. There was no mention of the other services.

USAFA cadets received an email today concerning pilot slots. No decision has been made yet, however the current estimate is a reduction of less than 200 pilot slots across the Air Force. This translates to ~40-50 slots less for USAFA per year. Currently sounds like the reduction is more a small course correction than a dramatic change.

Came here to report the same thing. My DS was very relieved to get this info.

Heard the same from DS and if not mistaken didn't class of 23 have a surplus of around 50?

Has anyone heard similar news?
It sounds as though there may be a bit of a delay in receiving Rated Board results.
Sounds like there may be a backlog from last year.
As a result, it could be May or June before the current Air Force Junior Class (meaning USAFA and AFROTC) will hear whether or not they have received a pilot slot.

They won’t get their jobs until senior year. I’ve heard for years they were gonna start giving out junior year but still hasn’t happened.
