Plebe Parent Weekend

if i had to make that decision i would say PPW.
it's harder to say goodbye on Iday anyways.. and you wouldn't be able to spend too much time with them..
With PPW you'll have three days of liberty to spend with ur family.. and you wouldn't want to be stuck at the academy after a long summer of the same four walls.

Definitely PPW over I-Day
Hi Raven,
I would definitely recommend attending PPW for your parents visit over I-dayas someone has already mentioned. For the most part, I-day will be a very brief goodbye to the folks and you're off and being processed and yelled at. The parents however would have the pleasure of seeing the granduer of the swearing in ceremony and you marching into Bancroft Hall.
The PPW is much more time to spend with your folks and a great release for the plebe mid for a job well done. Your parent being there if at all possible is highly recommended. Also they can purchase a very nice video that includes plebe summer featuring your specific company and including the entire swearing in ceremony of I-Day. Hope this helps some.

Recognize that the plebe may wish only to hang out in the hotel room, nap and play with computer/video. The parents should be ready to let the Mid drive the activities.
We were fortunate that we arrived for PPW on Thursday afternoon and were able to watch DDs varsity sports practice (Diving).
I-Day is very brief and scripted. Say your goodbyes at home.
