So the 3rd call for Plebe summer is on August 3rd. That is a Tuesday !! So what time will they call. Everyone in our house works during the day. So will they call home in the evening? Or does one of us miss the call when it is a cell phone call? Any ideas on how they do this?

mumsy, it was on the letter that gave our plebe's company/platoon and address. It may be posted elsewhere also, but that's where I saw it.
Most cell phones will now support 3-way calling. I suggest that your Plebe could call the family member who is most likely to be able to answer a call during work hours, and have that person be ready to add another caller (practice ahead of time!).
Another option would be to find ways to allow those who can't actually be present for the call to still join in. They could write out messages to your Plebe for the actual call recipient to read, and the call could be recorded for all to hear after work.
