Portal Status Update?

If you do not receive an appointment, or receive your TWE, does your application status on your portal change?

Also, when do you usually find out if you've been accepted/rejected?

Do you have to have a nomination to attend the USAFA prep school?

No nomination needed for Prep.

You will be notified, by attached letter, at the top of your portal. I believe you status will also change.

Aside from Applicant, Prospect and Candidate, what other official results are placed in the Status section of the Portal? Do they use Appointee or Selected for Appointment, Not Selected, Disqualified, Preparatory School, Falcon Foundation, or Alternate?

It was USMA portal but before the BFE arrived my DS' portal updated with 'Offered Appointment' section including a link to 'Accept Appointment' and pending links for other appointment and travel forms.

BFE was postmarked day before and arrived day after. So it happened pretty quick all in all.

He is still waiting for USAFA . . .
