I just received my NROTC scholarship. Currently, I have the scholarship through a cross-town university. I did not get into the school where the unit is.
Does NROTC allow transfers out of the cross town into the main school after spending at least a semester or so at the cross town?
I am sure after working hard at the cross town and retaking the ACT over the summer I will be able to gain entry into the actual host school.

I would think there would be a pretty good chance since you would still be in the same NROTC program. But I'd discuss your plan with cadre and seek their support. That will make the entire process much smoother.

Get with your chain of command about the switch. I don't think retaking the ACT will really be that beneficial to you. As you are already in college, your college transcript will be the most relevant info that will be used by admissions. HS transcript will be looked at also I'm sure, but retaking the ACT, to me, doesn't seem like the juice is worth the squeeze.

Being admitted into the school may be more effective in getting the COC to help you out.

I will reach out to them this week.
I was just thinking that retaking the ACT might help bolster an application.
I am unsure if my August-December 2024 college transcript would be complete in time for a submission.
Thanks.
