If DS or DD has post 9/11 gi bill benefits that was transferred to him / her is he /she allowed to use those benefits to pay off the ICA. I have searched and cannot find any information regarding a cadet and utilizing post 9/11 gi bill benefits while attending a SA.

Short answer is NO! Cannot use VA benefits to pay off Academy cadet/mid loan, and cannot get BAH because housing is provided. ONLY way that I know to do that is thru a "Private" Scholarship awarded by say a bank, civic org, or veterans group. But if he/she were to attend a Maritime College those benefits could pay for anything not paid for by the scholarship AND get the BAH supplement. They could then Commission MARGRAD into USCG.
