A track coach from USMMA has reached out to me about running track at King's Point. I'm certainly interested and will be visiting hopefully sometime soon after Indoc. I've dreamed to attend USMA all my life but now that I have the opportunity to run track at USMMA, I may also apply there.
After lots of research, I'm still a bit confused about what exactly the service requirement/post-graduation life of a King's Pointer is like. I was at an academy night and the representative from King's Point said that there is not a service requirement at all - is this true? What does an average graduate go on to do immediately after graduation?
I really hope these questions don't sound dumb but it seems (from the research I've done) the post-graduation process is a lot less simply determined than at USMA or other federal service academies where you graduate an officer and serve the minimum 5 active years. This question certainly can be answered during my visit, so I apologize for asking here, but I cannot help but be very interested in the matter. Thanks in advance everyone!
