POW-MIA Day - 17 September

I'll be participating in a POW/MIA vigil which is held at a local Veterans Memorial site. Over the 24 hours
of the vigil, the names of all MIAs from our state with some dating back over a hundred years are read while
a vigil flame is kept burning. A local AFJROTC participates by running the "Bataan Death March" relay run
throughout the period.

I have a friend whose brother was shot down 50 years ago Sep 30, and is still not accounted for. Sep 30 is also her birthday; was not a sweet 16 for her at all in 1971, and has never been a celebratory day for her since.
