I have noticed a couple of references in other websites that say, "please refer to PPW schedule". Where might I find that? And is PPW only for parents or is it okay for younger siblings to attend as well? Thanks.

Take the whole family. Our plebe wanted to see his younger siblings as much as he wanted to see us. We did alot together that weekend: went to DC, saw a movie, went out for ice cream, played on our Wii in the hotel. Great fun.

Some people recommended to us to take only immediate family to I Day, as it is a stress filled day for the plebe...and then to take a gang (immediate + grandparents, etc) to PPW, so the plebe can share stories and relax with the whole family.

We did the opposite, and I'm ever so glad!

We had parents, younger siblings, grandparents, a few scattered aunts and a godmother for I Day. The night before, we all went out for a Last Supper. Everyone hung out together and talked and wished our plebe-to-be well. Everyone said their goodbyes the night before. In the morning, only Mom, Dad and plebe went to Alumni Hall. THAT is an intense parting, and not one to try to have a crowd for. The rest of I Day, as plebe was being processed, the rest of us toured the yard, shopped, "spectated" and enjoyed the yard. We all had a chance to see our plebe after the Oath, give hugs and see him off again.

For PPW, we took the immediate family only. Our plebe wanted to go out and DO some things: touristy things, movie, out to dinner. We did whatever he wanted, without trying to accommodate a crowd. Sometimes he just wanted to play video games and get on facebook on our laptop in the hotel.

Worked out really well.

Thanks for the ideas. Very helpful. And bring the Wii is a great idea. I am sending you a PM.
