Preliminary Application

I applied for the USNA summer seminar and I didn't get in, I'm not completely sure why, but I have a few theories. For the preliminary application, it says your Summer Seminar app serves as it and I can't update it. Since I applied my test scores have gone up majorly, I've received a few awards and such. Will this affect my chances of getting in?

Did you receive the letter stating you are an Official Candidate? It has the log-in information you need to continue the application... if you haven't received it, you may want to call admissions?
