I am currently a junior and USNA is my first choice for college so I am very excited to apply to the Summer Seminar. The application opens soon but due to COVID I have not been able to take the ACT or SAT yet. I want to apply as soon as possible, but I also know that this counts as the preliminary application and I definitely want those scores to be considered when I’m applying. Is there a way I would be able to update that part of my application later on? Does anyone have any advice for this scenario? Thank you so much!

I was thinking only the USAFA summer application required scores to count as the preliminary application.

You can update your scores after you submit your application for NASS if you get new scores before the selection announcements are made. DS was able to do this back in 2018-2019. You will have to contact your admission counselor directly and they can update your application.

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. Do you know if that would apply to other aspects of the application? Like would you be able to update your GPA or class rank if that changes later on?

Yes, you can continue to update your application by emailing your Admission counselor. There have been threads about that here before -- bottom line , limit the out of application updates to significant matters, ie.. don't pester the Admissions Officer with numerous trivial updates. There is no benefit to trying to get your name in front of the Admissions coordinator multiple times.
