Prep School Acceptance this late?

So I got a USAFA rejection letter a month ago in April which said "I am sorry to inform you we will not be able to admit you to the Air Force Academy or one of our preparatory programs this year."

Today I received an email with a notice saying I was being given a slot at the preparatory school. It was an official email, the notice box was changed, and my status changed to "USAFA Prepatory School Offered". I received a slot for the prep school.

Is this a mistake or error on their part? Did I actually get a slot??
I'll take anyone's advice!

No mistake there! You are going to USAFAPS! (If you accept it, of course! Lol).
 
Congratulations my friend! I also received a "non-select" status in April and hope to reapply for '26 ASAP. Wishing you the best of luck with the incredible journey you have ahead!
