Prep School PT

The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and the Aerobic Fitness Test (AFT) are separate tests that are specific to cadets at USAFA. The PFT consists of pull-ups, standing long jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and a 600 yd sprint (or meter, can't remember which). The AFT is a 1.5 mile run only. They are administered on separate days, probably weeks apart.

The CFT and AFT that you take at the Prep School are exactly the same as the ones you would take at the Academy proper.

Once you enter the "real" Air Force, then you will take the Air Force physical fitness test which consists of push-ups, sit-ups, and a 1.5 mile run.

So yea, four different tests floating around. . . Candidate Fitness Assessment, Physical Fitness Test, Aerobic Fitness Test, and Air Force physical fitness test. Confusing, I know.
