Hello everybody,

Next year I will be entering my freshman year of high school. Right now my grades are mainly B+'s but I know that I can get all A's next year. Besides good grades what else can I do throughout highschool to make sure that I have a good shot of acceptance at West Point? I only play hockey and I'm on the hockey team at my school but I could also play football since they are desperate for players. Thank you so much

Look at the "stickies" at the top of the USMA page. There is a timeline that tells you everything you should be doing year by year. Also take a look at the "What Are My Chances" sticky---you can see the type of activities that most cadets have participated in.

Most importantly, raise your grades. West Point's admissions are fiercely competitive and B's won't get you in.
