how long does it generally take from submission of form to a response/nomination letter?

Whenever the individual SA gets to it. Presidential noms are non-competitive, meaning everyone who applies and is eligible, will get one. It’s a simple admin task to update the applicant record, and it will eventually show up in the applicant-facing portal as having a Presidential nom. It’s way early in the cycle. If you don’t see it by September, folllow up.

Please reassure us you are applying to all other nom sources. Only 100 appointments in a class may be charged to the Presidential nomination authority, and usually several hundred applicants are eligible for one.

yes my son is applying for the pres, the VP, both senators, and one congressman. Sadly his AFROTC unit is not a distinguished unit so he cant apply for that. We have been doing our research lol, but let me know if we have left anything out...
 
It took a few months for my DD's service connected nom to show up for both USAFA and USNA

Looks good to me! Assume “AFROTC” really means “AFJROTC” and not the college program.
