My DS has completed his app to the USAFA and now waiting to hear back from his Congressional Interview.

He also submitted for a Predidential Nomination under fathers previous USAF Comission, now retired. The portal indicates that this has been accepted.

If he does not receive his Congressional Nom, will he still be evaluated under the Presidential?

Sorry for dumb question, but any insight from Pres Noms is appreciated.

Yes. He can be awarded an appointment through any of the sources they have secured a nomination. USNA is limited to 100 MIDN per class that were nominated by the President from the children of members of an armed force.

As you can see from the USAFA Appointment thread, several appointments were secured with just Presidential nominations.
