Presidential Nomination

I have two questions in regards to the Presidential Nomination,

1) I was looking through the USAFA website for more information about Presidential Nomination, and it provided a link to a template for a request for nomination (https://www.academyadmissions.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ReqMilitaryNom.pdf) , is this the only thing that is required for the Presidential Nomination application, do I not need to submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, SAT scores, essays, resume etc?

2) Does anyone who qualifies receive the nomination or is there a selection process, like with the Congressional Nominations? I've read other threads, and some people have stated that there are an unlimited number of nominations (however only 100 appointments available for candidates with Presidential nominations).

All you have to do use the template in the link you provided and request a presidential nom. You also have to include a letter from a parent’s unit confirming active duty status of said parent. If I recall, my DD used snail mail to send the 2 documents to USAFA. No other documents needed.

So long as you qualify, you will receive a presidential nom. Getting the nom is not competitive. Getting an appointment to USAFA with a presidential nom does have some competition.
