My DS is a MS4. He came into ROTC as a MS3 so his first year was a bit of a struggle for him. He graduated Advance camp but it’s a little worried he may not get AD. Are the slots available by school or the country overall? I ask him these questions and he says he gets conflicting answers. He has a high GPA and interviewed with 5 branches first choice being Quarter Master.

Only graduates of the Senior Military Colleges who successfully complete the AROTC program and are recommended by their PMS for active duty can be sure of an active duty slot and this is per federal law. All others are compete for active duty slots nationwide based on needs of the service.
Aren't 2,3, and 4 year AROTC scholarships awarded by CC guarnateed AD too?
QM is a great branch. Great for civilian life career, especially if they only plan to do 4 or 5 on AD. Good luck
He scored a 504 on the ACFT which is lower than he expected for himself. He didn’t do well on landnav and he’s peers during his MS3 year didn’t rank him well. He’s worries that will pile up against him.
Good to hear. It’s his top choice. Hopefully his interview went well.
Would be nice. He did get a two year scholarship.came in as MS3 so late start.
