My daughter and I visited the battalion which is located at Kent State. Nice new building, plenty of space and very friendly ROTC cadre and students. My daughter applied (was accepted) EA at CWRU and was deferred by the first AFROTC board.

Let me guess....you also applied to the AFA and just received a AFROTC scholarship? Did you apply EA to CWRU?

Yeah you are right with applying to the AFA and receiving a scholarship; I got a Type 7. No I didn't apply to Case EA, I'm not sure if I'm going to go there though, one of the reasons I applied there is cause my girlfriend applied and told me its a good school.

Make sure you don't let the condition of an AFROTC Detachment decide where you go to school. They'll all end up being the same, the only difference is the people, and you will not have any way of knowing what those people will be like. That being said, choose your school wisely, and good luck.

Would you mind sharing what your GPA/SAT scores were? I applied for the AFROTC 4 year scholarship as well and I'm trying to see what chances I could have.

OSU AFROTC Wing

I've visited the OSU AFROTC Cadet Wing and have served with many graduates.

It's a top-notch program. The larger schools like OSU benefit because they have more students which allow them to have more cadet activities and better programs.

Best wishes on your continued success.
