Question about National Guard before Senior Year of High School

DS is a Junior in high school and has applied for SLE and class of 2026. He is considering joining the National Guard this summer--something he wants to do if he does not get into USMA. Is there any problem with him doing this? I just didn't know if there could be an issue down the road if he did get an appointment with USMA? Thank you!

There should not be as long as he committed to doing National Guard if he does not get in. I would recommend asking your unit commander for the USMA referral or something.
