Question concerning being proactive

My DD is still a few years away from having the opportunity to be a candidate at a SA. She had the privilege to attend Summer STEM at USNA last June and loved it. Knowing that this is a marathon and not a sprint, we have worked together on laying out the plan to be in the best position possible should a SA still be her primary goal. One area of planning touched on DoDMERB. When she was 9 she had a playground type accident that resulted in a minor laceration to her kidney. No big deal and has had zero impact on her life.

A few weeks ago I requested all of her paperwork from the hospital concerning this event. The process was fairly simple and I was sent a 1.5" thick packet. The very first page from the packet was the final letter from the hospital doctor to our family doctor stating that our DD was all cleared for normal activities and sports. However, the letter misstated the injury as a lacerated spleen instead of a lacerated kidney. I quickly reviewed all of the other documents and they all clearly state that the injury was to the kidney. So, it's pretty obvious looking at the entire package that the final document (that happened to be the first one you read) misstated the injury.

So, should we try to get this error corrected proactively or is there a good chance that it would be pretty obvious to anyone reviewing that this was simply a typo?

Curious to see how some of you SA parents would handle this proactively. Thanks
