Our daughter was fortunate to receive the national NROTC scholarship, but was waitlisted at her first choice school. She has been accepted into 3 schools, all with NROTC programs but one of those acceptances didn't come in until early last week and she needed to do some research to finalize her preferred path forward and we were managing to the 5/1 school acceptance deadline. Due to this, she missed the deadline of 4/15 to request a school placement selection and instead submitted last night.
My question is - she has to accept admission to a school by 5/1, and I understand school selection changes for the NROTC scholarship are closed now until 5/15. Does anyone have experience with a path forward if for some reason the transfer to her accepted school isn't approved? She can certainly ask to remain on the wait list for the school that her scholarship is tied to, but I am not optimistic that the wait list will move.
