Our son will be attending the March CVW and we will be driving up with him. Noticed in the info that parents of CVW visitors have a day of seminars they can attend on Friday. Question is this. My father in law is retired Navy and may be interested in traveling up with us as well. Can grandparents attend the Friday meetings as well? Don’t want them making the trip if there wasn’t much for them to do during the seminars.

Thanks for any info.

Hello! My DS and I will be there in April. I didn't see where parents have to register, so I'm guessing that's perfectly fine! But your DS can probably email to be sure. Enjoy the visit!

The seminars I went to were in the auditorium and had plenty of space. I don’t recall any signups at all.

Excellent thank you. We’ve been up three times so far between football games and cross country camps and he’s truly looking forward to attending classes and seeing what it’s really like with the mids and plebes in session. Truly looking forward to the trip.

I don't see why not. There was no sign in or registration at all. My son attended 2 CVWs and I went to the seminars the first time but the 2nd time I couldn't. Some had one parent, some had 2. There didn't seem to be any way to limit or verify who was there.

I would even take him the day before, and tour the Yard! You can sign up here

For CVW the tour is "included" so you didn't have to pay for it or sign up in advance. After the academic presentation in the auditorium, they break you up into groups and take about a 1.5 hour tour. Their tour was even better because they take you through King Hall whereas the other public tour didn't do it.

I concur with the posters above. There were no sign ups or registration for the parent portion, so bringing additional family members should not be a problem.
