New on this forum. Very thankful for the information. Question: Is it inappropriate for DS to email ALO to check on status etc. I'm unsure about whether this type of contact will help or hurt his chances of acceptance. Thank you
 
No it will not impact him negatively nor positively. They usually will not tell him anything definite about his status, I did the same thing and my AC told me that my file will be reviewed by the board and spinned it somehow.

Thank you. Trying to do anything we can. Very new to all this as many are. I guess we just wait and watch the portal.
 
I assume you mean BGO instead of ALO ? (I think ALO is used by USMA or USAFA). You can ask, but I limit my response to confirming the package is complete and to be patient. BGO's are not supposed to tell you if you are 3Q etc. and frankly that only tells you that you have crossed one hurdle --- the big squeeze is choosing whom among the 3Q candidates gets paired with what nomination, and gets the BFE.

Didn't I notice your DS already received an appointment? #90 on the list. If so, congratulations! All you need to do is accept.
