I switched to a different STEM major and I am currently enrolled in a quite difficult course for my previous major. The final is at the end of this week. I can play my cards right with the engineering department and receive a late withdrawal from this course to help my GPA. However, it would put me at 11 credits and you must be at 12 to be considered a full time student. Are you allowed to be a CDT on scholarship that is not considered a full time student? I have done little research but I heard rumors that USACC allows this.

EDIT: Read that you cannot go below 12 credit hours. I have 18 credit hours but will only EARN 11 if I go ahead with this withdrawal

Have you reread the contract and spoken to your PMS? What a bummer than one class is worth SEVEN credits!

There is a 180-page document from USACC that I am sorting through once I can get some free time on my hands. This seems to be a better topic of discussion with the ROO.

Forgive me, I mistyped. The course is worth three credits. Therefore I’m at 14 right now and I would go to 11.

Disregard folks.. found my answer: No. You can only do what I described the last semester before graduating and commissioning.

Perhaps I could be able to pull this off with a PMS approval— just seems absurd to stay in a course that won’t contribute to my degree and will likely hurt my GPA.

Cadet35. Update your 104R based on your new major before you meet with your PMS if possible.
