I'm a plebe. If any of you potential/ accepted 2012'ers have any questions about Beast or anything just ask and I'll do my best to answer quickly (free time here Good luck with the rest on the semester.
Did you get a LOA? Also what was the hardest part of beast for you?
I did not get an LOA. I got a Senatorial and Congressional nomination in the winter of my junior year and got the acceptance letter at the end of January.

The first 6 mile ruck march up the ski slope was probably the hardest thing we did. Other than that, Beast wasn't that hard for me. I think a large part of it is due to the fact that I had a really good attitude the whole time. It's all about attitude. You could be the #1 New Cadet physically but if you can't get yourself to the point where you don't mind waking up at 5 every morning and not getting enough to eat its gonna be a long summer. Kids don't quit because they just physically cannot do the training, they quit because they lack the mental toughness. And on that note: don't beat yourself before you get there by blowing up Beast in your mind as this insurmountable obstacle, and don't let anyone tell you that you might not make it. It’s just not that hard. Bottom line: stay positive. Hope that helps.

Great advice!

I'd just like to clarify something. Did you receive nominations during your junior year or senior year?

Wow...thanks for bringing that up. I'm an idiot. Senior year, of course. I started the application process during the spring of my junior year and got the nominations in the winter of my senior year. Sorry about that confusion.
Hey, glad to hear beast wasn't so bad. I was wondering when you submitted your application and if you ever scheduled an interview with your field force contact.
I sent in my completed application around mid-October senior year...never had an interview with my MALO.
