BFE will be mailed in bulk closer to I-day
 
My son stayed in touch with 30/40 Summer Seminar participants. Today, 9 of them received an appointment from the USAFA. All from the West Coast except for one, he is from NY. Keep up the faith and other plans as well. Have a great Sunday everyone and congratulations again to all the new appointees.

I haven't heard anything yet. Still waiting. They did send my Commander an email saying that I need to send them a new DEROS Curtailment letter.

Out here waiting… seeing only 1 from PA which makes me feel better though… and they aren’t in my district.
 
OK, is anyone receiving a rejection in their portal? We are hoping for an appointment but aren't sure if today, all appointments were sent out or if there will be more....

I highly doubt all appointments were sent out but I think it is safe to say that more than about half of the class of 2026 has been filled.
 
I hope you are right! Thank you. Do you think they offer appointments and send rejection letters later? Or do you think they are doing both?

The vast majority (I almost sent mast vajority... I am tired) of appointments are given out in mid-March through Early April with some rejections being given out along the way, and then it kind of switches. Mid-April is when mass rejections go out with some appointments being given out along the way. Sometimes people get an appointment after getting rejected. It's not very predictable and kind of chaotic. Like entropy.

Curious why you would think at least half of the class of 2026 is filled 🤔 no way to know truly where they are in the process, since only a handful of the appointees are on this forum. I know this was a big wave of appointments but I believe there will be at least two more big waves coming soon. Almost 100 on here reported, but many many more to go. Heck even if half have been appointed that means there's still roughly 750 more appointments to go.

I would say it's a reasonable guess. The number of reported appointments on this site is pretty consistent enough to make very general guesses about where the cycle is. For example, I think off the top of my head 193 appointments were reported last year. Basically 200. About 1,400 offers of appointment were given out for c/o25. The inverse of 200/1400 is 7. Seven * approximately 100 appointments reported here =~ 739 using exact numbers. Just about half given.

((1/(193/1428 )) * 100) = 739.896373057. Not sure what they're going to do with that last fraction of a cadet :biglaugh:

I hope you are right about two more big waves - do you think they will always be on Sundays?

If you look at our current cycle, the dates notified have varied, so I honestly don't know and do not want to speculate on the days. But, if you look at the spread of appointments from today many states have minimal appointees so far (if any). Which hopefully when the next wave comes your son is notified by his senator and you won't have to wait for the portal to update 😉 hold out hope, there is still a long ways to go.
