The 535 that you mention is MOC PLUS the Senators. There are NOT 535 MOCs

Gotta be honest. I was feeling positive until today when I see so many appointments come through and the portal is still showing nothing. It appears a huge batch went out today, based on the appointments listed just in the last 10 hours. I can feel the positivity leaking out of my body . Darn it !

The wait is driving me insane. I'm a college reapplicant and I did absolutely everything that I could've to get accepted this time around, but as time goes on, I'm rapidly losing hope. My ALO told me that something like 91% of reapplicants get accepted. Let's hope that both myself and my fellow college reapplicants aren't in that 9%.

So, he is just saying that's what he's going to do. I really don't want him to give up on the dream of USAFA but I think he is trying to protect himself by acting like it's no big deal. This is SO HARD!

I think that so many of these candidates are in the same boat. My DD has the AROTC, NROTC and USCGA appointment. Her NROTC school will pay room and board all four years. We are waiting on AFROTC and USAFA as they are her top picks. Our thinking at this point is to plan for what she knows she has and if the academy comes through like she hopes, she will be ready. We are trying to keep the perspective that every option is amazing (and they are) but she has wanted USAFA since she was little. Fingers crossed and still hoping but also planning for something different.

I see 10 with Presidential noms. That’s around 10% which is average for appointments. However, it is very hard to extrapolate anything with such small sample size. I would also suggest that a lot of candidates with presidential noms are not on this board for various reasons.

As with all of the other guesses above, any attempt to try and make solid proclamation about what is happening, how many appointments have been given out, or how long you will wait is futile.

I feel one of your many roads begins as an officer in the best Air Force in the world! AFROTC? Perhaps. USAFA? Perhaps. Based on what I gather from your posts you are wise beyond your years and success is right around the corner. p.s. I think you are definitely still in the running for for an appointment this cycle. Eyes up!
