Questions on Falcon Foundation

I’m very new to the FFS and I have a few questions and was wondering if someone who attended or knows a lot about it could answer them.
1. Would we be considered Air Force reserves while attending?
2. Do we wear Air Force uniforms at our prep school?
3. How long is our summer training?
4. Also when would we typically leave for our training?
5. Would we need to buy things like boots and low quarters?

@Zoe101 Congrats on your FFS! I would recommend looking into each school that you are allowed to use your FFS with. Each are very different and your questions will vary between schools. Some programs like NWP are not military-affiliated so you don't wear military uniforms while others do have military (usually Army) components of military training.

1. No, you won't have any military status.
2. Not Air Force uniforms, most of the prep schools have their own uniform, ranging from business casual to a military style uniform, it will depend on which of the 5 FF prep schools you select to attend.
3. No specific summer training at the prep schools, most have a start date around mid to end of August.
4. Depending on the school, figure end of August.
5. Depends on school you choose, if they have a uniform, it will be provided when you arrive, costs will be part of the tuition you will be responsible for.
