Can you explain how the return to King Hall for meals is going to work? I can't really find any articles on how it will pan out.

They just started configuring the 5th wing side for sit-in dining. They are gradually trying to phase it back in, should be eating in there by April
 
How does the student body at USNA differ from a typical state college in terms of personalities, goals, and socially? Could you see your peers at a normal college or does USNA attract specific types of people?
 
Hello, thank you for doing this. What do your weekend usually look like? Do you get to go out at all or sleep in or anything?
 
Hello, I assume this is a good place to ask questions.
I checked my USNA home portal and it says "Nomination Received by USNA" with a date received. My congressman emailed me saying that results should be on the academies' website and will send a letter as well to me. However, I still have not received any letter.
Does that mean I received the nomination?

I received call about a nomination at the end of December and just got it In the mail this past week.

It just had that the nomination from my district was received from that December date. It might just take awhile to get through the mail, hence why I received the letter over a month later than received online.

Yes that is a nomination!! My DD still has not received letter from MOC but has nomination and spoke with MOC who told her she had the appointment too. That was almost 3 weeks ago.

1) What is considered a passing score on the CFA? can one particular event or events make or break a candidates score?
2) What qualities or characteristics make a candidate eligible to receive an invitation to NAPS?
3) I didn't receive a congressional nomination this application cycle although I had an awesome interview. What things can I do to better improve my chances of receiving at least 1 this upcoming cycle? Are academics weighted in the final decision?
4) Does enduring adversity get factored in when a candidate is under review?
5)Where can I send my college ECA's to be added to my file as there is no place for them in the online application?
6)What tips/advice would you give to college reapplicants?
7)What things should I actively be doing throughout the application process? volunteering?, working out? etc
8)Does participation in NROTC help a candidate get to the USNA?
9)I'm uncertain what I want to major in after completing my Associates should the major I choose be STEM based to correlate with the Plebe year classes?
10) How long should a prospective candidate train/prepare before taking the CFA?
11) I never had stellar grades or final GPA at graduation due to the adversity I faced junior and senior years will this hurt my chances of receiving an appointment?
12) Is it common for college re applicants to not receive official appointments until several unsuccessful attempts?

I brought my vinyl “Close-N-Play” with me in my freshman year at UVA in 1980. I was real popular then. We would have all night vigils blaring out the rock music of Led Zepplin and AC-DC on that little beast ... sadly, and respectful of the Rock Gods Jon Bonham of Led Zepplin, and Bon Scott of AC-DC, whom both died before I arrived my freshman year of that Summer .... Those were some wild and crazy times at UVA.
