    Hello all,

Quick question if you don't mind. My application was submitted in late September, but it says that my letters of recommendation "were reviewed" yesterday, I did not see this on my portal two days ago, just curious as to what this is indicative of? Is it them just moving stuff around?

    Thank you very much.

When I spoke to my admissions counselor, she said that it is reviewed, meaning that the points had already been tallied. We are waiting for everyone else's points to be scored, then they take the highest scorers and give them admission.

Have you guys sent in your 7th semester transcripts (if still in high school)?

I haven't been asked to send them, how about you? However, I believe my school will send them regardless.

Haven't been asked either, but I have read in other posts that some have been requested.

Does it bode badly that we have not been asked to send them?

I was not asked to, but I sent one anyway. They may have wanted one or not, but my portal says "complete". They will end up seeing all 8 semesters if we get an appointment anyway.

This is what the Instructions to Candidates booklet (if you want to call it a booklet) says about the 7th semester transcript:
"If your transcript was sent during the first semester of your senior year, you must ensure that your high school sends us a transcript with seventh semester grades as soon as they are available."

My understanding is that USAFA will not have a spot on your portal that will be checked once received, nor will you be asked, but it is a requirement anyway. I know a lot of high schools will send your 7th semester transcripts to all of your colleges without you asking first, so ask your school if they do.

Oh dear. I'll have to check with my school, but I'm not sure that they sent those in. I just sent an email to my admissions counselor asking about this, but does anyone know if them being missing wild be crippling, and if so is it still possible to send them in? Also, I've been in close contact with my admissions counselor, and she never mentioned them. Is it possible that they'll be requesting them soon?

That is how I read it, I could be wrong. See what your admissions counselor tells you, and listen to her. In my opinion, it never hurts to send them. Some schools just released their 7th semester transcripts as well, so those students would not have been able to send them until not. It all depends on where you go.

Just hang in there. I never felt the 7th sem. Transcripts were a big deal. If they want them, they'll ask. It's a numbers thing. One of your senator's and Congress man's nominees will get in. Sometimes two each if they nominate 20.

Even then, the academy has other "slush" nominations they can use if your MOC spots go to others.

It's not uncommon for one MOC to have four or five from their state or district earn appointments. If they want you, they'll find a way. GOOD LUCK!

Is it uncommon for Admission counsellor to email my high school guidance counsellor to send in my Transcript? Does this mean anything or that's just how they do.
