I have looked but cannot find the actual date the new plebes or new cadets need to be at West Point for R Day this summer? Any help is appreciated.
Amen ta that! Looong day. And then, when it ends, you'll wish it hadn't.So...R-Day. It is exhausting for you as parents. Depending on your drive or flight, you might wish to have two nights of hotel: Night before R-Day; Night of R-Day--because the Oath Ceremony often does wrap up until after 6 p.m.--or is that when it starts? You are up super early with your nervous child--and then you stand in line and then try to fill the time in a meaningful and enjoyable way until the Oath Ceremony. It is a long, long day. Also, if your kid is recruited for a sport, there will normally be a team BBQ and there is the AoG event for families on the day before R-Day (If your kid or you are worried about what to where--like "I don't want to be a nerd in a West Point t-shirt or polo shirt"--everyone is in a West Point t-shirt or polo shirt...on pre-R-Day. On R-Day--blank t-shirt or shirt polo style shirt.)
