R-Day Start Date

I'm not sure if you are soliciting for actual information, or looking to speculate as the other SA boards have similar threads going, but there has been no information released to the public as to when/how the Class of 2024 will report to USCGA. As of now, the Class of 2024 page on the USCGA site tells appointees to plan to report for Day One on June 29th as originally scheduled (https://www.uscga.edu/covid19-2024/).

The first priority is commissioning the Class of 2020, although I know that USCGA is actively working on plans for swab summer in addition to all other cadet summer training evolutions.

A small note, the first day of swab summer is no longer referred to as R-Day (Reporting In Day). It is now called Day One, I believe the change was made 2-3 years ago but my math could be off.
 
I believe the final notification regarding any possible changes is going to be sent out on the 15th
 
@rjb Your reply reminded me of my initial reaction to the change a couple of years ago when someone posted it on this forum - the question was “does it matter what it’s called?”

OER = Officer Evaluation Report (AKA a performance review - writing mine is currently the bane of my existence)

I still hold that the change was unnecessary, but I’ll go along with it for the sake of showing I can adapt to change. 😜
