Hello!

As the title says, I am a reapplicant to USAFA this year. I was disqualified and my waiver was denied last year, but I am going to try again this year. My question is: how will the medical side of things work now that I am a reapplicant? Several weeks ago, a 2d Lt from the Academy called me to ask if I had any questions about the process and specifically about the medical side of things. During the conversation, I told her that I knew I did not need to get another examination this year since I had a current one from less than a year ago, but she disagreed. She said I would have to get another examination since things can change over the course of a year. I am a little confused now. Will I have to repeat any special testing that I got last year, but not the main examination, or do I start over? How will the medical side of things work this year? Thank you in advance Mr. Mullen!

email mr. mullen. i would think if you medically disqualified last year you would have to start from scratch. the 2 year dodmefb is for qualified status i think.

I was told by an admissions counselor at USNA that the 2-year policy applies regardless if you've been disqualified or not. I got disqualified last year, but they were able to download the medical packet this year given I turned in the present health and Covid-19 questionnaires.
