Hi! I previously applied to the Air Force Academy class of 2026 however I did not receive an appointment. I am reapplying this year for class of 2027 but in the meantime I will be in my first year of college in a different state. I am a little confused on what I should do about nominations as I will be living in a different state for school this year. Should I use the address of my dorm when applying for nominations or should I use my hometown/permanent address (which is the address on my USAFA application)? Thanks! :)

I was a college reapplicant this past year. I used my hometown. I have heard you can apply for a nomination in the state you go to college in (not sure if the person who told me this was accurate though). If you have already received a nomination with your MOC or Senator in your home state in the past, I suggest sticking with that.

My son applied from his home district on his reapplication. He had to do all of his interviews virtually.

Assuming you are 18, where are you registered to vote? That would be your district. If you're not registered (because you're only 17, if you're 18 register to vote), it is your "Home of Record".
