DS was at West Point this year and decided it wasn't for him. He previously went to a university for his freshman year and had a 3YR AD scholarship and hadn't contracted. During plebe year, he applied and received a 3 YR AROTC scholarship again while at West Point and has 9 dual enrollment credits from HS, 27 from his freshman year in ROTC, and will have 36 from West Point. There are many questions I have for the following:
1. He took MS1 in both his freshman year at the university and West Point, can he double up on MS classes to graduate in two years as he has junior credits other than his MS classes.
2. Can he contract with the scholarship as a junior and finish in two years, the continuation of the first.
3. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

AROTC has a 2-year commissioning program that normally starts with AROTC Basic Camp. After that 4-week camp, you start as an MS-III. This sounds exactly like where your son wants to be. The main question, I think, is whether he would still have to go to Basic Camp. Either way, though, I would think that is the path for him considering that he appears to only have 2 real years of academics left.
I'd inquire with the AROTC unit at the school he's going to.
