I am going into my sophomore year at Texas A&M. I applied for the USMA class of 2015, but was medically disqualified for history of a mood disorder. My waiver was denied. However, since then, I have seen another psychiatrist, who says that after evaluation of my files, and me as a person, he sees no evidence that a mood disorder was ever an issue. How likely is it that I can receive a waiver?
Also, I was unable to reapply last year due to a crazy schedule including an Honors program study abroad summer trip and my involvement as a fish in the Corps of Cadets. My grades really took a hit first semester, due to the Corps, and poor class scheduling. Second semester, they were an entire grade point higher, will this be looked upon favorably? I also participated in Ranger Challenge, and plan to do so again this year.
