I don't know if anyone has gotten one this year yet. Unless your stats are super low, you might not get anything until end of March into April. Last boards are not until mid April. The "cutoff" number for scholarships likely won't be known for sure by the boards until closer to the last boards.

The NROTC portal will clearly show not awarded. It is obvious and you will not miss it. Email is the same, but make sure you check your spam as it could be hiding in there. Wether you are awarded or not awarded, it is not something that you will miss either way.

Just stay patient and keep working on plan B and school. Just remember....No News is Good News. I know it is hard to wait, but you really have no choice. Try not to worry too much. You have done all that you can do, and you will be awarded or not. Also take some comfort in knowing that you will likely know for sure in 6 weeks or less. That might sound like alot, but that is probably less time than what you have done so far.

Good Luck

Thank you!! I just get in my head but yes ive waited way longer than 6 weeks lol.

Next board ends on March 8th. Results have been coming on the Tuesday after a board ends, so March 12th-13th would be the next day I would check for any updates on your portal and email. If nothing, next check dates is about March 26th-27th.

I know it is hard, but try not to check everyday. It just makes the wait seem way longer. Set a reminder on you calender for a specific date, and just try not to think about it. Turn the nervous energy positive. When you start getting in your head, go for a run or work out. You will feel better, and get in shape.....win win.

And, even if it’s a “no” - it’s not over. Join the Unit as a College Programmer. There will be others. Be ready to crush it - PT, grades, behavior, etc. My oldest joined as a Programmer & was awarded a scholarship after his first year. Of course, he would have liked to have gone in with a scholarship, but now that he’s finishing his Jr year, it’s basically a non-issue. When he did his summer training last year to Japan & Australia, no one asked if he started out as a Programmer 😉. Good luck 🍀!

I submitted my package like feb 12 (the online part was done in time and my coordinator said it'd be fine) because I started really late. I haven't been given any updates on my status, but I don't really expect anything from the Feb 20-23 board until March 8th.

Great post

Don't get discouraged or give up if your goal is to serve after graduating from college. Our daughter didn't get a scholarship last year. She was still able to go to NSI, did very well there and had an NROTC scholarship by January this year. Sometimes things you appreciate things more when you have to work a little harder for them:)

I got cut for the NROTC-MO board that went feb 5-9. It’s an email that is attached with a letter from the recruiting commander and other ways to commission.
