Religious Items at BCT

Just a quick question about personal items at BCT…I read in a previous thread that you are allowed to bring your Bible to BCT, but I would like to bring my rosary with me as well. Would this be allowed? Thanks.

I don’t see why not. You still have first amendment rights (mostly) while in the military!

Small and discrete - no one will give you grief for this personal item during BCT. I think you will find that when it comes to religious items - or at least things that are CLEARLY religious in nature - no one will give you grief unless it is huge and obnoxious.

In the rear view, I can tell that I am personally overly empathetic/sensitive to things like race, speech, and religion. I attribute it to the volume of briefings/training you will receive during your time in the Air Force. I've been out of the military for a LONG time and my spidey senses rise up when I see or hear something that is either not politically correct or just flat out morally wrong. I consider this a good thing, but I know this was trained into me. Even when you don't think you are paying attention in these meetings... and catch every 50th word.... with 50 meetings on the subject, you just happen to catch 100% of the message...
