Hoping some guidance can be provided. My DS received his remedial requests and he is working through these (with some help from me). The main issue, which we expected, was a checkmark on using an inhaler and a temporary diagnosis of exercised-induced bronchospasm for about a month during in March 2021. He is a swimmer and during practice he was having excessive coughing. No issues with dryland (2 hour-3x week) exercises. The doctor wrote in assessment/plan in notes as "exercised-induced bronchospasm" and prescribed an inhaler because it needed to be assessed. Fast-forward to follow-up 45 days later and all issues were resolved (chlorine levels restored to normal). She wrote in her plan that it had been resolved and she was not giving it a diagnosis of "exercised-induced bronchospasm". She noted no follow-up needed or PFT's needed.

All that to ask should I have him send (with his other remedials) the two medical records that show all this information? Would it help eliminate some paperwork that is probably forthcoming?

analystx2 AND DS: Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the Process;" Read paragraph 4 ...together.

DS APPLICANT: If you’d like, you may send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your Parent's posting above to YOUR email. The subject line of the email should be “analystx2- SAF =Remedial/DQ.“ Do NOT embed links in your email as I will not be able to view those. :wiggle:

Thank you and I will give this to him. "Questions..." printed and read all the way through. Message received. 😊 I'm sure he will also be reminding me of paragraph 4 regularly.

Just here to say you're not alone. Ex-swimmer son DQd for same thing. Just started the remedial process. Swimming 3 hours straight in an overchlorinated natatorium every day is not kind to the lungs at all. But yes, a very temporary thing.
