Hi all,

Without getting into it too much, I have a remedial from DoDMERB which asks for more information on a condition I had when I was very young.

This is fine for me, as I can provide dates for certain things to the best of my parents knowledge (I was less than a year old when the events occurred).

The issue, though, is when I am asked for my last three medical evaluations for the condition. I would have had these completed when I was six months old or even younger.

It also asks for a report of the most recent test I may have had done on the issue... but the problem is that I and my parents are unsure if I ever had this specific test done (an electroencephalogram) or if I did it was in the NICU right after I was born.

My question concerns the following: If I was not able to find the information asked for about these three recent evaluations (17+ years ago) and the test (which I am unsure ever happened) will I be automatically disqualified?

We will do our best to get our hands on the information through my pediatrician, local hospital, and old insurance company, but with these having occurred over 17 years ago we are unsure.

We will also contact my DoDMERB coordinator.

Thank you for any and all help.

If you supply an explanation to why you cannot find the requested info, it is not necessarily a DQ, but it might be.

However even a DQ CAN be eligible to be waived by the respective SA or the ROTC Program. Remember, DoDMERB sees things in a black and white world....either Q or DQ. The waiver authority at the SA or ROTC program can see shades of gray.
