I heard from my DS today. His email opened with "I'm alive!" He said he can't wait for it to be over. I think they all have that sentiment. Another 48 hours or so and they will be "Class of 2015." Until then, many more pushups for their Dykes!
2015 push ups done on their honor. A sweat party with their dykes tonight which they really are motivated for. Heard from 3 different Rats that the mud hole may be reappearing tomorrow. They all are STOKED over that. Yesterday DS just wanted the hell over with.."no matter what get it done" was the attitude. In the brief Face Book message he sent..(2 lines) I can tell he can see the light at the end of the tunnel and he is excited on top of exhausted... 1 very LONG day ahead, but they are ready. I am very proud of Rat Mass 2012 +3. I took a boy to VMI 5 months ago and he is really just beginning the journey, but what a transformation in such a short time. I think I will be creeping on the Web Cams just a little tomorrow
2015 pushups!!! In six days? That's like 330 a day. And they have to make an official statement to that effect? Good lord.
Yes, and my DS said the cadre and RDC pushups they did this week didn't count toward that total. I'm guessing they had to do 500+ each day.
I work with a guy who graduated in 2004. He told me when he was a 1st class he had his Rats doing close to 1000 a day during Res week. That total must be Dyke pushups plus cadre/RDC pushups. That's a lot of pushing!!
We got a quick email that the Dyke sweat party was a "blast". They got a 5am wakeup (boom bbom alarm clock) and as I write this I'm sure they are slogging away. We are supposed to get a Skype call (new privledge) tonight. Looking forward to hearing all the stories from this week!
I just finished delivering Breakout mugs to the rooms on 4th stoop...I would just like to say I'm proud of these soon-to-be cadets for keeping the faith and putting up with the Ratline.
