Ring Dance Tickets

Can someone explain how the ticket pricing for Ring Dance works? I'm told by my Mid that the price is the same for the Mid and Date, yet it includes the price for future Mid events at which the date wouldn't attend. Is that right?

I was told it was $250 per ticket.....Crazy expensive for a dance but my DS told me the venue is 100 grand.....I just closed my eyes at deposited money to cover the costs.
 
Look at it on the bright side, at least you aren't paying $250K. And the ring dance is one of those big nights!
 
My DS is still trying to decide if he is even wanting to go to the dance due to the cost and no date. He pays for all expenses including ring, ring dance, health insurance, flights home, academy bills, etc. so the cost seems outrageous to me and adding a hotel cost and date (if he gets one) expenses. it gets even higher. He says he thinks he may be able to go to the other events that the ticket purchase covers without paying much but is checking into it. Does anyone know what the cost for the other things are if they do NOT attend ring dance.?
 
My DS and his fiancé paid their own way to the ring dance and spent the weekend in NYC with their friends doing the touristy things they hadn't done in the 4 years they were in NY. They had a great time!

I would make every effort to make the weekend a possibility. It's the one thing that I can say was truly done right. They enjoyed the traditions and the elegance of the venue.
 
Hey KP13Mom, you mentioned that your DS took his fiance to the ring dance. Did he mention any advice, hints, recommendations, etc. for keeping a relationship going while at KP? Particularly during the difficult sea year period.
