HI,
I was wondering if rolling admissions are going to help me or hurt me in my admissions process. And what are they really?
If you can anwser it'd be great!

it will help you if you get your app done early, it will hurt you if your app is done late

rolling admissions means they take candidates that are qualified as they come, almost like first come first serve. They dont just pile up the apps in one stack and choose the best. However, you must be qualified regardless.

Rolling Admissions means that from the time the application opens to the time it closes, they can offer admission to any applicant at any time. this is different than many schools that simply accumulate applications, then judge them all at one time and offer almost all their given offers at the same time.

for west point, this means that sooner is better. Get as much of the application done as early as you can and you might be offered a Letter of Assurance. The first time I applied, I waited until February to submit my application. Even though I was fully qualified, there just was not room in the class for me. If I had applied with the same stats in November, I might have been accepted.

As others have said, it will help if you get your app done early, and it will hurt if you get your app turned in late. I have a friend who recently received a "qualified but no vacancy" letter from USAFA. If she had completed her app a couple of months earlier, she probably would have gotten the Appointment. I got my app done in late October, and received an Appointment December 29th. I could've completed my application earlier, but mine was done before a LOT of other peoples. Most of those that I know that completed their application after mine are still waiting, or have been rejected. So, make sure you get yours in on time. Best of luck to you!!! :thumb:
