I received both a conditional appointment to USAFA and ROTC scholarship, both are now requesting waivers for a medical condition. I understand that the two waiver processes are separate but if USAFA says I'm "Under Waiver Review" with no new correspondences and ROTC has requested AMI for my waiver review, are both processes deferred until I submit my AMI for ROTC, or will the USAFA waiver keep pending while the ROTC waiver consideration is deferred?

Each runs independently of the other. My DS still shows Under waiver review for USMA, but they issued his waiver internally and he has his appointment. USAFA asked for an AMI with an additional medical consult that cleared him on that side. DoDMERB is Waiver Granted. He is still waiting for a reply from USAFA on an appointment, but we are all hopefully optimistic. We don't see them working a waiver to ultimately give him a TWE, but you never know.

altomatic = the medical waiver authority for USAFA and AFROTC are the same folks. That is the only one of its kind.
