ROTC Netfocus application question

Okay, this is probably an extremely elementary question but...my DS is registering for a Netfocus account to start his ROTC application. It is only allowing him to put First, Middle, and Last Name. He is a Jr. It doesn't allow him to put the Jr after his last name and there isn't any suffix box. We have always heard that names need to match on all records and Jr is part of his name. At DS's school a student almost lost a scholarship because of a similar situation where the school had inadvertantly dropped the suffix off the students name. DS is just trying to avoid future issues. He doesn't have an account on SAF is why I am asking for him.

Anyone else who is a Jr, how did you handle this? Or anyone who knows ? Later in the application does it give you a chance to add the suffix?

Thanks!

I wonder if inserting a hyphen, Smith-Jr. would be appropriate since a space isn't able to be inserted. Hopefully somebody else with experience can chime in.

DS figured it out. Missing suffix does not matter for the registration. There is a separate spot in the actual application for the suffix.

Thanks
