SAME Engineering and Construction Camps

I thought I'd throw this out there for those who are not aware of this program. My DS attended the camp at USAFA last summer and loved it. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in engineering at an Academy or even ROTC. They have an Air Force, Marine and Army camp.

I attended the SAME camp last year. It is a awesome experience and I completely recommend it to anyone interested in any engineering program, especially if your planning on going to the Air Force Academy. It covers all of Civil Engineering with a day that goes over Environmental Engineering.
 
DS 2 did the Navy SAME camp at Port Hueneme in CA. Loved every bit of it. Unfortunately, was DoDMERB DQ'd and couldn't use the NROTC Scholarship. Only problem was that he came home ready to ditch college, enlist and go right to the SeaBee's.

Would highly recommend the SAME Camps to everyone.
 
My son attended at USAFA last summer also. Fantastic week of engineering, touring the Academy, and lots of fun.

Also to note - the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) post that sponsored him paid the full cost of the camp plus his airfare. Definitely worth it to apply!
