SAT Essay

Yesterday I asked if it was needed and in the handbook apparently it says its highly recommended. The essay will stop being offered in June 2021, though. Do you think it would still be helpful if im highschool class of 2022 and would be class of 2026 in the academy. Im taking my first sat this saturday and the next one is August, so there wont be an essay option.

While it is “highly recommended,” it is not required. For example, I never took the essay with my ACT and still received an appointment, and from what I have seen this seems to be a common theme on these forums. Also, the SA’s will likely change this recommendation if the SAT stops offering an essay all together. Any ALO’s who know better then me, feel free to correct.

Well, you just never know what you might say that may be attributable to you in the future.

Maybe PM one of the Moderators/Site Admins for help.
