SAT scores on Application

I just filled out the first part of the application and submitted my SAT scores via a pdf. file. On the front page of my application under SAT Verbal and SAT Math scores, it says 36 and 36.0 respectively. My SAT score is 1440 (720 for both reading and math) and I did not know how these 36 scores correlate with the 720? Does usmma score it differently?

No insight here - just a curious/speculative observation. I understand their need to normalize the score across ACT and SAT but I find it weird it would be assigned a 36 considering a perfect ACT is a 36, and while a great score, your score is not a perfect score on the SAT. Rounding, fractional... who knows. Historically, ACT has been more popular on the East Coast than SAT so I can understand them using that as the benchmark ---- if that is indeed what they are doing here.

A quick google search taught me a new word - concordance. The ACT site provides a table to translate the scores and I presume the second source did the same == both pointing to a 1440 = 32 ACT

Ultimately, I am of no help, but others may be. Congrats on starting your journey!

It means 36/40, not 36/36
